The North Dance Company Competitive Program is designed to inspire and challenge dancers who are looking to take their training to the next level. This program offers intense conditioning, technical training, choreography and a focus on individual growth. The goal is to provide students with the highest quality dance education from only the best instructors and choreographers. Students gain the technique they need through concentrated training in Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Tap, Lyrical, Acro/Tumbling and Musical Theatre. Although a key focus is on giving students the best and most versatile technique, the benefits of the Competitive Program extends well beyond their dance training. Self-discipline, self-expression, confidence, and time management are only some of the qualities students will develop as part of our program.

Competitive Program

Our Competitive Program is designed for dancers between the ages of 5-18 years old and requires a commitment of 5-12 hours per week, depending on your interests and placement. Each dancer’s program includes mandatory technique classes in ballet, tap, and jazz along with elective classes based on level and experience.

Some students may further be offered the opportunity to perform in solos, duets, and trios. Selection for these opportunities are based on attitude, commitment to dance, and abilities.

Our Competitive Team will attend four competitions each spring - a mix of overnight (within 2 hour drive) and local.
